Starlight Cottage is perched on the slopes of Black Hill and offers sublime views both day and night. There is a deep sense of tranquillity stemming from its ancient origins.

Inside, Starlight Cottage is welcoming, sympathetically renovated, with a blend of contemporary style and historic character. The new spa is a fabulous modern addition, with sauna and treatments available as an optional extra. It has some of the best views you'll find from a day bed!

Originally the hay loft for the farm, the living space now houses a smart, fully equipped kitchen, with dining table, perfect for two, yet easily large enough to invite a couple of friends to dine too. A couple of steps lead to the sitting room with large wood burning stove, a generous basket of wood, as well as Smart TV, DVD and Wi-Fi throughout.

Upstairs, a large landing area leads to a spacious bedroom with super king size bed and extraordinary views over the rolling landscape of the Welsh Marches. You just need to persuade your other half to bring you breakfast in bed! The modern bathroom contains a bath and a shower over, to soak away the tiredness after a long walk. On the airy landing you will find a day bed for lounging with a book from our small library, that can also fold out to form a double bed, in case you wish to share your stay.

You could easily spend a short break here without visiting the supermarket, stock up at the award winning village shop in Longtown, then dine at the local pubs throughout the weekend. A warm and friendly welcome awaits you, and assistance and advice is on hand on where to visit if you need it.

A couple of steps take you to the generous and cosy living space with large sofa and chaise longue to relax in front of the wood burner. Original art work on display. Stone floors throughout.
A large oak staircase takes you to the first floor.

We welcome, one, well-behaved dog. Please keep them on the lead in the fields at all times.
We supply two bowls, a towel to dry your dog and a sheet to protect the sofa.
Dogs are not allowed in the bedrooms.
