If biking is your thing, make the most of your visit and explore the wonders of the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons on two wheels. Bring your own bikes or, better still, hire them through our local bike hire, Drover Cycles in Hay-on-Wye, who can deliver your hire bikes to our doorstep and collect them! They also offer guided bike rides for a tailored experience to your level and so you can make the most of your time.

world! The famous Gap ride and Black Mountains Loop are withing a short
distance. There are also hidden gems of tracks and
ancient bridleways, accessible from our back door.
If you prefer your cycling adventure to be on the road, the Gospel Pass, the highest tarmacked road in Wales, is a breath away, as well as many other famous road climbs: the Iron Mountain or 'Tumble' and the Llangynidr Mountain. Slightly further afield you will find the epic Rhigos and Bwlch climbs.
The Brecon Beacons National Park provide a great place to spend a day (or two) having an adventure. There are many companies in the area that can provide bike hire facilities, but of course at Upper House and Spa you're always welcome to bring your own!
